When booking a tattoo appointment and paying a deposit, please ensure you fully understand and agree to the following terms and conditions:Deposits & Multiple Appointments
Deposit Policy
Deposits are non-refundable and serve as a commitment to your appointment date. They also allow the artist to begin the design process. You have up to 12 months from the date of payment to schedule your appointment. If you fail to do so within this period, the deposit will be forfeited. While the appointment itself may take place beyond the 12-month period, it must be booked and confirmed within that timeframe.
The deposit will also be forfeited under the following circumstances:
Appointment is cancelled with less than 72 hours' notice.
You significantly change your brief or provide new reference material with less than 72 hours' notice.
You fail to attend your scheduled appointment.
You do not confirm or book your appointment within 12 months of paying the deposit.
Rescheduling
You may reschedule your appointment at no additional cost and without losing your deposit, provided you give a minimum of 72 hours' notice.
Design Ownership & Process
The deposit covers the full tattoo process — not just the design. All artwork created remains the intellectual property of the artist. In the event of a cancellation, the artist is not obligated to share or release the design.
Designs are typically created for the scheduled appointment date. Where possible, draft versions may be shared in advance. If no design is provided prior to the appointment, time will be allocated during your session for minor revisions and adjustments.
Providing Accurate Information
During the booking process, you will be asked to provide detailed information, including reference images and photos, to assist in the design process. It is your responsibility to ensure all information provided is accurate and complete. You are also encouraged to review Sophie Moonbase’s portfolio, available on the website, Facebook, and Instagram.
Definition of "Tattoo"
The term "tattoo" refers to the full experience — including consultations, communication, design development, the tattooing process itself, and any related preparation or aftercare. The deposit amount may vary depending on the complexity and scope of the tattoo, and you will be advised of the total required at the time of booking.
Health & Safety Restrictions
You cannot be tattooed if you:
Have damaged skin (e.g., bruises, scratches, sunburn)
Have irritated skin from numbing cream
Are currently taking antibiotics
Are on blood thinners
Are pregnant or breastfeeding
Are undergoing cancer treatment
Are recovering from recent surgery
Failure to notify the artist of any of the above conditions at least 72 hours before your appointment will result in the loss of your deposit.
